Patrick Barwendere, Country Manager

Patrick is a Burundian citizen. With a Bachelor's Degree (BSc Hons.) in Statistics and Economics from the Faculty of Science and an Associate Degree of Microfinance from the Faculty of Business Administration and Management, both achieved at Uganda Martyrs University - Nkozi, Uganda.

Patrick joined KK Burundi in 2006 as a Customer Service Representative and upon successfully building up a fully-fledged Customer Service Department in 2008, he was appointed as Customer Service Manager. His prominence in customer relations and managerial experience led to his appointment as Country Manager in 2010.



Claude Herssens, Acting Country Manager

Claude joined KK Security in June 2010 as General Manager of Arusha branch. He was born in the DRC and has lived there for over 22 years. He holds a BSc in Management, Marketing and Computer Science from the European University, Brussels Campus in Belgium. He has over 22 years management experience gained across the luxury travel, hospitality and private security sectors.


Nick Arnold, Managing Director

Nick has considerable Africa and wider Emerging Markets operations experience and joined KK Security in 2016 to lead our development in East Africa. Being from Zimbabwe originally, he served in the Royal Marines for nine years on operations across the globe. Nick then spent 10 years up to 2012 as the Managing Director of Global Integrated Security based out of Dubai, a $250m security and logistics business with operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and across the region.

More recently Nick has been leading the East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia) division of Atlas Development and Support Services, a UK AIM-listed turn-key remote support services company, through a significant and challenging re-structuring. Nick has extensive knowledge of operating in Africa, managing large numbers of people and projects in challenging environments, with a real focus on operational business performance improvement and business development.



Paul Kithinji, Country Manager

Paul joined KK Security in Nairobi in 2004. He holds a Degree in Commerce – Finance and Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and Secretary (CPS-K). Prior to his promotion to Country Manager, he served as Regional Manager in Western Kenya. Paul has additionally worked in the finance department and spent the previous five years as administration and operations manager at the KK Security headquarters in Nairobi.


Eddy Sebera, Regional Manager

Eddy joined KK Security in June 2007 and brought with him large experience in corporate finance and management. Prior to joining KK Security, Eddy served as financial analyst for LiquidAfrica a corporate finance and advisory services firm based in South Africa. Earlier he worked for Combase Africa a subsidiary of the Combase Group based in Europe. Eddy has a Bachelor's Degree (BSc Hons.) in Economics from the National University of Rwanda. As the Regional Manager Eddy oversees KK Security businesses in Rwanda, Burundi and the DR Congo.



Don McBride, Country Director

Don joined KK Security as the Site Development Manager on the Illovo Sugar Estate before being promoted to General Manager in Dar-es-Salaam in 2002 and then Country Director in 2010. Don was born in Kenya and spent 16 years in the British Army. He settled in Tanzania where he developed considerable experience in commercial security, particularly on mine sites in Arusha and Northern Tanzania.



Patrick Karimi, Country Manager

Patrick joined KK Security in 1993. He has held several roles in the business across Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania. He was promoted to Country Manager in 2012. Patrick holds a BA (Hons) degree in Administration and has over 20 years of operational and management experience in commercial security.

He also has a Diploma in Business Administration and Management from Cambridge College, UK and a Diploma in Private Investigations from Harcourt Institute, Pennsylvania, USA and Security Management Training from Intec College, South Africa.


Robinson Mwenda, Country Manager

Robinson joined KK Security in October 2013 bringing seven years’ experience and expertise in commercial security management having worked with G4S Kenya and Bob Morgan Security as a Regional Manager. He was promoted to Country Manager in December 2016 where he is responsible for our operations in Uganda. He has a background in sales and marketing and holds a MBA degree from Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya. Robinson is an associate member of Kenya Institute of Management and member of Protective & Safety Association of Kenya (PROSAK).
